AI Detects Breast Cancer, Build a Voice Bot in Python, and an Open Source LLM Course
Tools, tips, news, and more in the artificial intelligence world.
Morning y’all!
I’m in the beautiful city that never sleeps for half of the week and then I’ll be flying home to get some much needed rest.
The pretty Flatiron building! There’s a number of these triangle-shaped buildings in a lot of city’s across the US, but, this one is supposedly the original.
Ok, let’s jump into it, shall we/
Powerful if true:
In a remarkable development in the fight against breast cancer, a new artificial intelligence system has demonstrated the capability to detect breast cancer up to five years before it would typically be diagnosed. This is a total game-changer. It means doctors can spot things early and literally save lives. The system can catch the tiniest hints of breast cancer in mammograms: it's like the ultimate early warning tool!
StoryBlocker is a mobile storyboarding tool. Create and light sets in Augmented Reality and 3D before shooting. Record animatics from your phone. Neat.
At Sensay, cutting-edge infrastructure simplifies the creation and fine-tuning of AI replicas using raw data, while maintaining high standards of security and privacy.
KnowBe4 got pwned! They are a respected security training company and fell victim to a long-running North Korean IT scam. They shared a retrospective here.
Jensen Huang says the next wave of AI is physical AI, which will require three computer systems to implement: AI, robot and Omniverse.
And for a few tools:

Speak any language with your own voice. Only for iPad. Articula.
Send me anything you find, of course!
Apple’s new AI, called Apple Intelligence, will arrive in October.
Twitter / X is training Grok with your posts and if you want your privacy then you should turn it off. It’s not obvious how to get there but here’s what I did:
Hit the … buttons (more) on the bottom and then “Settings and Privacy”. Then, “Privacy and Safety” and then “Grok” near the very bottom. You should then see the screenshot above and be able to turn it all off.
Whew.
Titan GPU via NVIDIA will bea the RTX 5090 but they already have market dominance so this feels a bit like asking customers to upgrade their iPhones that they just bought 3 months prior. Interesting strategy.
Meta is releasing it’s new Segment Model 2 for images and videos.
Llama gave Claude a meltdown. There’s something curious here but I’m not entirely sure what, but, is there a future where AI tools are actively trying to mess with each other (without our prompting)?
An open source course on LLMs?! Very, very cool.
Learn how to build a real-time AI voice assistant using Python that can handle incoming calls, transcribe speech, generate intelligent responses, and provide a human-like conversational experience. Perfect for call centers, customer support, and virtual receptionist applications. Wow!
A controllable video generation? These things are getting more powerful every day.
How to monetize those AI features? Give this blog post a read.
And finally, chat with the schedule of the summer Olympic games. Nice.
Have a great one folks!
