I do not consider myself a content marketer, per se, but anyone who’s writing anything publicly these days has to eventually cave to the fact that sharing your content is just part of how one needs to operate.
In addition, if you’re building any product for any company — large and small — you have to get the word out somehow! Most product folks (and engineers especially) do not usually have these types of skills and so ChatGPT is an absolute boon to those who want to build content and copy but do not necessarily want to spend the time to learn the ins and outs.
Well, here are 5 exceedingly useful prompts that can help you get started. Naturally, you can expand upon these examples and then the world is your oyster. I also plan on adding more useful prompts in the future so please subscribe!

Blog Posts:
Write a blog post about [insert the topic here] and use stats and data throughout the article while citing your sources as well as write the introduction in a storytelling format for [insert audience segment or focus here].
When you add the “storytelling” addition it will sound less like a robot and more like a human, which will ultimately help with conversion. Adding statistics and metrics will increase credibility as well as give the audience evidence that you know what you’re talking about. Feel free to edit this as-needed for more specificity.
Industry Statistics:
Please share interesting stats about [insert the topic here] that very few people are talking about. Please cite your sources.
If you’re a content marketer and in-charge of writing content for social media then this can be a great starter point and foundation for an entire post. Asking it to be more specific to Tiktok, X, Reddit, etc. will also give you better platform-centric content.s.
Competitor Analysis:
What topics does [insert competitor URL] discuss the most frequently?
Understanding your competitor can help you understand what folks are caring about and what may be converting viewers into users and subscribers.
This is especially useful for startups and small projects that are trying to build a good foundation of content that will start the flywheel of interest and attention.
Here’s another one that has been very useful as well:
What are the most popular blog posts on [competitor URL], specifically focusing on [focus, user persona here].
Again, you can redo this an infinite number of times to get better results which will give you ideas of what types of “evergreen” content will prove useful.
If you’re not sure what evergreen content is then it’s simply this: Content that continually draws eyeballs to your product and/or service all year round. This definitely impacts organic search and results for the users you’re trying to attract.
Analyze Posts:
What are the most popular social posts about [insert the topic] based on likes and shares? Please list them out by social media platform [or a specific platform that you’re trying to target here].
A fantastic and simple prompt to discover the best topics out there on any particular context or subject. Again, good starter material for evergreen content and beyond.
